Researcher in Residence at LeAF Academy

The CEMP Researcher in Residence at LeAF Academy is Alexa Munn. Contemporary pedagogic practices are of particular importance to Alexa as an educator, advocacy of technology and mother. Her embedded research project explores learners’ use of technology to identify patterns and possibly paradigm shifts of learning through contemporary media. Alexa’s research into pedagogic approaches to the use of web 2.0 technologies within the institution will aim to impact on pedagogic practice within the school. It is her intention to articulate responses from a variety of stakeholders, prepare, trial and then develop a flexible and tailored learning programme for each student at LeAF Studio. LeAF Studio is a unique environment in which Athletes and Performance students balance their career goals and academia equally and this requires a more agile approach from both learners and educators.
