There are a number of existing resources which can help you build your partnerships and research capabilities. Here is our library of useful resources. We will keep adding to it, so please share with us which resources have worked for you.

Higher Education Outreach to Widen Participation: Partnership: This primarily focuses on external partnerships for outreach activities.

JISC have produced this guide to support staff-student partnerships for developing a digital curriculum.

The National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement outline partnership strategies for engaging the public with your research.

Engaging students and Students’ Unions:

The NUS produced A Manifesto For Partnership which overs valuable insight for anyone seeking to work more effectively with Students’ Unions.

The Student Engagement Partnership run by the NUS has extensive resources and information to help you enhance student engagement in your own context.

The NUS have also produced a video elaborating their understanding of partnership working.

The HEA has published research, a framework and a tool to enable student engagement and partnership working.

The Oxford University Press has produced a students as researchers toolkit to help guide students through the research process.

BU’s Centre for Excellence in Learning’s Technology Enhance Learning (TEL) Toolkit shares tips and tools for using technology to engage students.

Widening participation resources:

The NUS has a series of research publications focusing on students and inequality which could be useful in shaping the priorities of your research

The national strategy for access and student success outlines the Government strategy for widening participation and includes a series of useful case studies.
The final report from the Social Mobility Advisory Group outlines the importance of Working in partnership to enable social mobility in higher education.

Universities UK have a broad portfolio of work exploring equality, inclusion and student experiences.

Action on Access has be the leading body for supporting widening participation across the UK since 1999.

The ARC network produced a literature review into widening participation.

The Social Mobility Commission (formally Social Mobility and Child Poverty Commission) regularly publish research focusing on the area of access to education.

The Institute of Fiscal Studies have published a report outlining how linked data can be used to analyse participation rates.
